Crises Support Services provide services to support the Church, Community and Corporates in dealing with crisis situations. These services range from Trauma and Grief Counselling to training for those involved in dealing with people in crisis. More information about specific services is available in the sections below.
God, in His Grace and Wisdom, has ordained the Church as His instrument through which to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Scripture affirms that the gates of Hell shall not overcome the church. (Mat 16:18) God has also raised up “parachurch” ministries and organisations in order to offer the Church of Christ specialised resources and/or skills, etc. Crisis Support Services is one such ministry whose task is to “come alongside” the Church and assist the church with its specialised skills or abilities.
Crisis Support Services offers training for crisis intervention teams, using the most up to date counselling techniques and partners with the South African Institute of Trauma Stress (SAITS), a highly credible training institution.
Our training is available for churches in Johannesburg and its surrounds (and is offered free of charge to previously disadvantaged churches). We soon hope to extend our training to other geographical areas in South Africa.
